Atlantic Grupa d.o.o. is one of the leading regional companies in the food and beverage industry with well-known brands Argeta, Barcaffe, Cedevita, Bakina tajna, Cockta, Donat, and Smoki. In addition to the production itself, they have a distribution system and employ about 5,300 people. The company is headquartered in Zagreb and has branches in 8 regional countries.

Problem

Atlantic launched a new product category, the new Barcaffe Cappuccino, and had a desire to introduce consumers to its new range. Atlantic's was to increase sales by activating in-store promotions, which would be accompanied by outdoor promotions.

DEKRA solution

In cooperation with Atlantic Grupa, we had the opportunity to participate in this project for the new Barcaffe Cappuccino. DEKRA implemented Atlantic's idea for simultaneous in-store and outdoor promotions. The project was very challenging because the project took place during the pandemic. Conducting in-store promotions also included prize draws after each consumer purchased a product. Customers had the opportunity to win prizes such as milk frothers, ballpoint pens, mugs, shopping bags, and cappuccino samples. On the other hand, during the outdoor promotion, consumers were able to meet our promoters who handed out cappuccino samples to by-passers to allow them to taste the cappuccino before their decision to buy.

The promotion was very successful, and the distribution of a large number of promotional and informational materials led to increased sales of the new Barcaffe Cappuccino. We were motivated by many returning customers who showed interest in the product. Some of them recommended the promotion to their friends and acquaintances.
